Athens scores two awards at the Meeting Star Awards 2018

Athens came away with two awards from the Meeting Star Award Ceremony 2018, during the grand opening of the 11th Conventa 2019 Trade Show, organized by Kongres Magazine, the leading meetings industry magazine in New Europe. Athens was awarded both the Meeting Star Certificate of Excellence 2018 as XL Destination, and the Meeting Star Certificate of Excellence 2018 as New Europe Destination.  The award ceremony took place on Tuesday 22 January, at the Kosovel Hall of Cankarjev dom – Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana in Slovenia.

The Greek capital scored 4,51 out of 5 on the Meetologue Methodology, and was voted among the Top 10 XL Meeting Destinations in 2018, as a destination able to host more than 2.000 attendees. 

ACVB had it own stand, representing the City of Athens, at the Conventa 2019 Trade Show among the 130 exhibitors from New Europe and 290 hosted-buyers from 48 countries around the world joining this year. During the 2- day event, on the 23rd and 24th of January, at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition And Convention Centre, ACVB representatives showcased Athens and  held more than 30 one- to- one meetings with mostly European MICE organizers, with a targeted interest in holding meetings and events in the Greek capital. ACVB also participated in workshops such as the ICCA Breakfast Session and joined all social events organized by Conventa, making sure networking continues even after trade show hours. 

The promotion of Athens, along with the rest of the Conventa exhibitors, doesn't stop with the completion of the trade show. Conventa communication, with over 50.000 meeting professionals, promoting the exhibitors during the entire year.
